Done properly, that means a photographer, a copywriter and a designer, one to two weeks of waiting and somewhere between €300 and €800 per product. Listimo promises to replace this whole chain with one upload: a single product photo in, a complete listing out. I tested it with a real product.

What Listimo is

Listimo is a German web tool for Amazon sellers and agencies. You upload one to six product photos – a normal phone photo is enough – pick a marketplace, confirm a few product details and let the AI build the listing: up to ten Amazon-compliant images (main image on pure white, in-use scene, detail close-up, infographics, feature images, lifestyle with a person, and for fashion also worn on a model), an SEO title, product highlights, five bullet points, a product description, hidden search terms and customer questions for Amazon's shopping assistant. Optionally it adds a complete A+ brand page with five modules and eight images in Amazon's exact dimensions, and a product video in landscape and portrait format. It works for twelve marketplaces – Amazon.com, .co.uk, .de, .fr, .it, .es and six more – each in the local language.

The test: a sneaker photo

I used a phone photo of a pair of green leather sneakers taken on the floor. The photo scan recognised the product type, the brand from the tongue label, the category, the size range and the included items and pre-filled the form – I only had to confirm. What surprised me most came next: before writing a single word, Listimo pulls measured market data for the niche – the search terms that really get typed into Amazon, with monthly volumes, plus the most frequent complaints and return reasons for that kind of product. In the sneaker niche, for example, “overall size” is the number one complaint, so the copy put the measured inner length on the insole into a bullet point and a customer question.

A few minutes later I had the finished listing: a main image on pure white with the shoe filling the frame, an in-use scene, a detail shot of the leather, an infographic with the key features, two feature images, a lifestyle scene, the shoe worn on a model, a comparison infographic and a dimensions image. The title was 56 characters, the bullets 723 bytes, the description 1,658 characters and the search terms 205 bytes – all inside Amazon's limits, which Listimo shows with a meter per field. Every keyword claim is checked against the actual text; claims it cannot prove are deleted. The A+ page arrived as a hero banner, four benefit tiles, two text modules and a closing banner, ready for the A+ Content Manager. The product video – twenty seconds, six scenes – was the icing on the cake.

What it costs
