Fees come from Amazon's rate card “Fees for Europe” effective 1 July 2026, including peak season and the fuel surcharge. In the toolbox the same calculator also fills price, dimensions and fee from an ASIN (free account). It is not tax advice.
Which Amazon fees the calculator includes
- Referral fee: a percentage per category of the gross price including VAT, 15 % in most categories.
- FBA fulfilment fee: depends on size tier and shipping weight. For parcels the higher of unit weight and dimensional weight counts (length × width × height in cm divided by 5,000).
- Fuel and logistics surcharge: 1.5 % on the fulfilment fee, on every marketplace since 17 April 2026.
- Peak season: from 15 October 2026 to 14 January 2027 higher fulfilment fees apply on amazon.de and amazon.co.uk. The calculator uses them when your sale date falls in that window.
- Low-price FBA: cheaper items get a lower fulfilment rate.
- Storage fee: per cubic metre (UK: cubic foot) and month, much higher from October to December.
- Your own costs: unit cost, inbound shipping, packaging, ad spend per sale and returns are entered by you.

What the calculator leaves out
Storage utilisation and aged inventory surcharges, Pan-EU surcharges, fees for shipping from German stock into other countries (EFN) and VAT on Amazon's fees. Enter Amazon's return processing fees as cost per return. Seller Central shows the exact FBA fee for your item; enter it in the “FBA fee from Seller Central” field and the calculator uses it.
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate the Amazon fees for my product?
Enter the selling price, category and the dimensions and weight of the packed product. The calculator works out the size tier and shipping weight and applies the referral fee, FBA fulfilment fee and storage cost from Amazon's rate card. Add your unit cost and other costs and it shows profit per unit, margin and break-even price.
How high is Amazon's referral fee in Europe?
In most categories 15 % of the gross price including VAT, with a minimum per item. Some categories are lower, for example consumer electronics and computers. The calculator applies the right rate for the category you pick.
Does the FBA calculator include VAT?
You enter the gross selling price your customers see. Amazon charges the referral fee on that gross price. For profit and margin the calculator removes the marketplace's VAT, which you can change in the VAT field.
What is the break-even price?
The lowest selling price at which you no longer lose money after all fees and costs. Price below it and every sale costs you money.
Which marketplaces does the calculator cover?
amazon.de, amazon.co.uk, amazon.fr, amazon.it, amazon.es, amazon.nl, amazon.com.be, amazon.ie, amazon.se and amazon.pl, for stock held in that country or via Pan-EU. Selling from German stock into other countries (EFN) uses different rates; enter that fee from Seller Central.
Is my data stored?
No. The calculator runs entirely in your browser, nothing is sent or stored.
