From one phone photo to your listing images

Listimo created all four images from the photo on the left, without a studio. They are AI-generated and labelled as such.
Which images an Amazon listing needs
Only the main image is required. The gallery is what sells: Amazon recommends at least six more images and a video. Every image should answer one buying question.
| Image | Answers | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Main image | What is it? | Pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255), product fills about 85 % of the frame, no text, no logo, no props |
| Infographic | Why this product? | Three or four benefits with short text, readable on a phone |
| In use and lifestyle | Is it for me? | The product in use, in a setting that fits the target buyer |
| Detail | Is it well made? | Material, stitching, surface, connectors up close |
| Size | Will it fit? | Real dimensions only, ideally next to an object for scale |
| On a model | How does it look worn? | For fashion, shoes and bags; for apparel the main image may show a standing model |
| Comparison | What makes it better? | Your own advantages, without putting down other brands |
For every image: at least 500 and at most 10,000 pixels on the longest side, zoom works from 1,000 pixels. Whether your main image meets the rules is measured by the free image checker right in your browser.
How to take the source photo
You don't need a studio. A well-lit phone photo is enough, as long as the AI can see everything that has to be right later.
- Bright, soft light: by a window in daylight, no direct sun and no flash.
- The whole product in frame: nothing cut off, with some margin.
- A calm background: a light wall or table, no other objects.
- Readable label and logo: sharp and straight on, without glare.
- True colour: no filters, no editing beforehand.
- Sets and accessories: Listimo takes up to 6 photos, for example for the parts of a set.
What the AI creates and what it leaves alone
From the photo Listimo creates images in 10 types: main image on pure white (three versions to choose from), in use, detail, infographics, feature images, lifestyle, on a model and size. The shape, colour and label of your product stay exactly as they are. The size image only uses the dimensions you enter. Image text is written in the marketplace language.
Photorealistic AI people are labelled the way Amazon requires: with the keyword contains-synthetic-performer in the image metadata. Scenes with people go in the gallery, not on the main image.
What it costs
Listimo works with credits you buy once, no subscription. To start you get 180 free credits, enough for all copy and 5 images of your first product. A photo studio or agency typically charges several hundred euros for an image set.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use AI images on Amazon?
Yes, as long as the image shows your product accurately and follows Amazon's image rules. Shape, colour, label and what's in the box have to match. Photorealistic AI people need the keyword contains-synthetic-performer in the metadata, Listimo sets it automatically.
Do I need professional product photos?
No. A well-lit phone photo is enough. What matters is soft light, the whole product in frame and a readable label.
How many images should my listing have?
At least one main image on pure white. Amazon recommends at least six more images and a video on top. Each image should answer a different buying question.
Can the main image have text on it?
No. Text, logos, graphics and watermarks are not allowed on the main image. Benefits and dimensions belong in the gallery.
Can I mix my own photos with the AI images?
Yes. You can add your own photos and decide at the end which images go into the listing.
How do I check if my main image meets Amazon's rules?
With the free image checker: it measures background, fill, size and format in your browser.
